Good to know: Traditionally, meals are eaten with the right hand. It is customary to remove shoes before entering someone’s home and not to walk on rugs. Morocco is predominantly Muslim, so it is advisable to dress modestly.

Bargaining: Bargaining is a common practice, especially in souks and markets. Halving or thirding the initial price quoted is a common strategy.

Health: No vaccines are mandatory, but it is recommended to be up to date on vaccinations such as hepatitis A, typhoid fever, and diphtheria-tetanus-polio.

Entry formalities: Passport valid for the duration of stay. Citizens of many countries, including the European Union, can enter Morocco without a visa for tourist stays of up to 90 days.

What to pack: Sunscreen, hat or cap for sun protection, lightweight and comfortable clothing, swimsuit, and comfortable walking shoes.
