This small coastal village lives to the rhythm of the Vezo, a fishing people whose history is intimately linked to the ocean. Every morning, their pirogues with their multicolored sails draw touches of color on the intense blue of the lagoon. Each evening, they return loaded with the day’s catch in a seemingly unchanging choreography.

Behind La Dune des Songes is Amandine, who fell in love with Anakao and her way of life.
His project is not limited to the creation of a hotel. From the outset, the ambition has been to build a place that respects its environment and the local community. Solar energy, rational water management, composting, limiting the use of plastic, using natural products and local materials: every choice was made with a view to more responsible tourism.
This commitment also continues through the Anjely Kely association, created to support the education of children in the village of Anakao in collaboration with the Teach For Madagascar organization. A sincere approach that adds even more meaning to this already deeply endearing address.
