Description
An itinerary designed for families who want to experience a trip that’s fast-paced, rich and accessible, with encounters with wildlife, moments shared in the heart of nature and lazy days with their feet in the sand. Comfortable accommodation, child-friendly activities and the friendly supervision of a French-speaking driver-guide.
Days 1 & 2: Nairobi
Arrival in Nairobi in the early evening. Settle in for 2 nights in an eco-camp on the edge of the national park.
The next morning, we set off early for a safari in Nairobi Park, followed by a visit to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust elephant orphanage. Return to camp for lunch, then visit the Giraffe Center in the afternoon.
Days 3 & 4: Safari in the Maasai Mara Reserve
Drive to the mythical Maasai Mara (approx. 5h). Installation and lunch in a small community camp run by Maasai people. In the afternoon, first game drive in the reserve.
Next day, full day game drive with picnic in the bush. On your return to camp, you can take part in activities such as traditional archery, cooking workshops or guided walks.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, head for the verdant landscapes of Lake Naivasha (4h drive). Installation and lunch at the lodge.
In the afternoon, a boat trip to see the hippos, followed by a walking safari on Crescent Island, among giraffes, zebras and gazelles. Return to the lodge at the end of the day for a moment of relaxation by the pool.
Days 6 & 7: Amboseli
Early departure for Amboseli (approx. 6h drive). Arrive, check into lodge and enjoy lunch. Afternoon safari at the foot of Kilimanjaro.
Next day, sunrise safari. You can choose to spend the whole day in the park, or return to the lodge for lunch and set off again in the late afternoon.
Day 8: Tsavo West
Drive to Tsavo West Park. Settle in and enjoy lunch in an intimate riverside camp.
Afternoon safari in this wilderness sanctuary, in search of red elephants and crocodiles lazing on the riverbanks.
Day 9: Tsavo East
Crossing to Tsavo East, one of Africa’s largest parks. The safari continues along the way, with changing landscapes and a succession of sightings on the way to camp.
Settle into a riverside lodge with infinity pool and breathtaking views over the savannah. In the late afternoon, enjoy a sundowner at the water’s edge – a magical moment to conclude your safari adventure.
Days 10 to 14: Watamu
After breakfast, transfer to the Kenyan coast (2h). Settle into a family-run seaside hotel in Watamu for 5 nights of well-deserved rest.
On the program: snorkeling on the coral reefs, boat trips in the mangroves, dolphin watching and swimming galore. Free to lunch/dine on site or in small local restaurants.
