Rooftop, in the shade of lemon trees or a green oasis, there’s something for everyone…

Just a stone’s throw from Place des Épices, L’Mida (78 bis Derb Nkhel Rahba Kdima) is a very popular restaurant, particularly for its sunny terrace and beautiful view of the medina. Prices range from 75 to 95 dhs for starters, 90 to 150 dhs for main courses, and 55 to 75 dhs for desserts. No alcoholic beverages here, but signature mocktails that are well worth the detour. Reservations are essential if you want a table on the terrace.

A haven of peace in the heart of the medina, Le Jardin hides behind the doors of a charming 17th-century mansion. The lush patio invites you to relax, while in the evening, its terraces come alive with open-air screenings of classic films. On the plate, the choice is vast, from tasty Moroccan dishes to European options, not forgetting refreshing cocktails to tantalize the taste buds. Just a 15-minute walk from the famous Place Jemaa El F’na, surrounded by souvenir stores, LA FAMILLE offers a warm welcome. This organic vegetarian restaurant, run exclusively by women, offers two services at 12pm and 2pm. Here, everything is fresh and colorful, with tasty dishes based on vegetables, cheeses, seeds and fruit, combining local and Mediterranean flavors. The bewitching scent of mint and orange blossom floats in the air, promising a meal as tasty as it is pleasant.

We hit the dance floor at the trendy Pétanque Social Club

Hidden behind a blue door, the Pétanque Social Club in Guéliz is the latest project from Kamal Laftimi, famous for his Le Jardin, Café des Épices and Nomad establishments. This venue reinvents an old 1930s pétanque club, blending a refined interior with a bohemian outdoor courtyard.

The menu, inspired by Moroccan produce, features creative dishes such as grilled octopus and pasta al forno. The bar, run by Giles Looker, offers cocktails with local flavors, including the Sahara spritz, a unique blend of desert rose, saffron and Campari. with vintage decor and a unique ambience.

A last cup of tea at Jardin Secret

Rebuilt in the 19th century by an influential caïd, the Jardin Secret (121 Rue Mouassine) is a historic riad-museum, restored in the tradition of Arab-Andalusian palaces.
